Any new site development must comply with the City's minimal landscape and buffer ordinance requirements and the CUP approved by the Planning Commission (file number, Z-9347-A). 2. Signage is to be reviewed and permitted separately. 3. Landscape plan is incomplete. Permit cannot be released until landscape requirements are met. Additional and complete review will be made upon the receiving landscape plan specifying the proposed plant materials, and sizes. Landscape plan should include but may not be limited to the following. For any site, trees from two (2) different genuses are required. At least twenty-five (25) percent of the trees on the site outside of those required for screening purposes are to be of evergreen variety. Trees must be a minimum of 2" in caliper at installation. Note the species and size specifications of the proposed trees on the plan. For any site, shrubs from two (2) different genuses are required. At least twenty-five (25) percent of the shrubs on the site outside of those required for screening purposes are to be of evergreen variety. Shrubs must be a minimum of 18" in height at installation. Note the species and size specifications of the proposed Shrub materials on the plan. Trees and shrubs are required adjacent to the street right-of-way at the rate of one (1) tree and three (3) shrubs for every thirty (30) linear feet. A perimeter planting strip is required along any side of a vehicular use area that abuts adjoining property, or the right-of-way of any street. This strip shall be at least six (6) feet, nine (9) inches in width in areas designated as "mature". One (1) tree and three (3) shrubs or vines shall be planted for every thirty (30) linear feet of perimeter planting strip. Screening requirements will need to be met for the vehicular use areas adjacent to street right- of-ways. Provide screening shrubs with an average linear spacing of not less at three (3) feet within the required landscape area. Provide trees with an average linear spacing of not less than thirty (30) feet. Building landscape areas shall be provided between the vehicular use area used for public parking and the general vicinity of the building. These shall be provided at the rate equivalent to planter strip three (3) feet wide along the vehicular use area. One (1) tree and four (4) shrubs shall be planted in the building landscape areas for each forty (40) linear feet of vehicular use area abutting the building. Interior landscape areas shall comprise at least eight (8) percent of any vehicular use area containing twelve (12) or more parking spaces. Trees shall be included in the interior landscape areas at the rate of one (1) tree for every twelve (12) parking spaces. The development of two (2) acres or more requires the landscape plan to be stamped with the seal of a registered landscape architect. Provide revised plans with the stamp of a registered landscape architect. 4. All landscape areas shall be protected as per City of Little Rock Landscape Ordinance (Sec. 15- 100). Wheel stops, and/or concrete curb and gutter will be required between vehicular use areas and any turf or planting area. All ground or roof mounted mechanical systems shall be screened from abutting properties and streets. Any trash receptacles or pickup shall be oriented away from a primary street side of the property and screened from the public right-of-way. Screen shall exceed the height of the dumpster or trash containment areas by at least two (2) feet not to exceed eight (8) feet total height. The City Beautiful Commission recommends preserving as many existing trees as feasible on this site. Credit toward fulfilling Landscape Ordinance requirements can be given when preserving trees of six (6) inch caliper or larger.
