Signage is to be reviewed and permitted separately. 3. A perimeter planting strip is required along any side of a vehicular use area that abuts adjoining property, or the right-of-way of any street. This strip shall be at least nine (9) feet wide. One (1) tree and three (3) shrubs or vines shall be planted for every thirty (30) linear feet of perimeter planting strip. The north perimeter planting strip is deficient. After right-of-way dedication perimeter planting strip is shown to be approximately 2-feet in width. The minimum width of the landscape perimeter shall be 9-feet. Provide perimeter shrubs adjacent to the south property line. If existing plant material is being retained to meet the perimeter shrub requirements indicate plant material location and provide note stating, "Existing dense understory vegetation to remain." 4. Screening requirements will need to be met for any vehicular use areas adjacent to the street right of way or any adjacent properties of a more restrictive use. Provide screening shrubs with an average linear spacing of not less than three (3) feet on center. Existing trees can be used to meet tree requirements in this area Provide additional screening shrubs between the vehicular use areas and the Ohio St right-of-way. There is approximately 80-linear feet of vehicular use are between the parking area and street right-of-way a minimum of 27 shrubs are required. The landscape plan indicates shrubs to be placed in the right-of-way. A franchise agreement must be obtained from Little Rock Public Works to place landscape and/or irrigation materials in the public right-of-way. Provide minimum shrub height specification on landscape plan. Verify that the specified 3-gallon yaupon holly screening shrub will be a minimum of 18-inches in height at installation. 7. All landscape areas shall be protected as per City of Little Rock Landscape Ordinance (Sec. 15-100). Mulch, edging, wheel stops, and/or concrete curb and gutter will be required. 8. Any new ground or roof mounted mechanical systems shall be screened from abutting properties and streets. Any trash receptacles or pickup shall be oriented away from a primary street side of the property and screened from the public right-of-way. Screen shall exceed the height of the dumpster or trash containment areas by at least two (2) feet not to exceed eight (8) feet total height. 9. The City Beautiful Commission recommends preserving as many existing trees as feasible on this site. Credit toward fulfilling Landscape Ordinance requirements can be given when preserving trees of six (6) inch caliper or larger. This pad shall serve as parking but may be used by the owner as a dumpster location with an appropriate dumpster enclosure. 9.
