1. Site plan must comply with the City's minimal landscape / buffer ordinance requirements.
2. Signage is to be reviewed and permitted separately.
3. Other than the site entry/exit drive no paving is allowable in the twenty (20) foot no display
area.
Revise plans to indicate the "No Display Area" as greenspace.
4. Screening requirements will need to be met for the vehicular use areas adjacent to street right-
of-ways. Provide screening shrubs that are a minimum of 18" in height at installation. Note on
the plan that the Andorra Juniper will meet this specification or substitute a different plant
material that will provide the required screening.
5. A landscape buffer is required when an adjacent property is of a more restrictive nature. The
adjacent properties to the south and west are zoned R-3. Opaque screening, whether a fence
with its face side directed outward or evergreen plantings, a minimum of six (6) feet in height
shall be required to be placed upon the property line side of the buffer. In addition to opaque
screen perimeter plantings will be required in this area.
Plantings as shown on the plan are acceptable. Show opaque barrier on plans.
Vehicular use areas that provide parking for twelve (12) or more parking spaces (including
display parking) will require eight percent (8%) of the area to be designated for green space. The
minimum size of an interior landscape area shall be one hundred fifty (150) square feet for
developments with one hundred fifty (150) or fewer parking spaces. Interior islands must be a
minimum of seven and one half (7 1/2) feet in width. Trees are to be provided at the rate of (1)
tree for every twelve (12) parking spaces.
Verify the number of cars that will be parked onsite. Provide interior landscape and trees if
more than twelve (12) spaces are provided.
7. All landscape areas shall be protected as per City of Little Rock Landscape Ordinance (Sec. 15-
100). Graphically indicate this on the plans or provide note on plan specifying type and location
of wheel stops, and/or concrete curb and gutter.
8. Note on the landscape plan "An automatic irrigation system shall be provided for all new
landscape areas and provide 100% full coverage." Or graphically represent the location of the
hose bibs on the plan and note "A water source for landscape irrigation shall be located no
further than seventy-five (75) feet of all plants or turf."
9. Return three (3) copies of the revised landscape plan, sheet L-101 and one (1) copy of the survey
to the Plans Development Administrator for review and approval before releasing for permit.
10. The City Beautiful Commission recommends preserving as many existing trees as feasible on this
site. Credit toward fulfilling Landscape Ordinance requirements can be given when preserving
trees of six (6) inch caliper or larger.
