3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH HASTY AWARDS IN THE AMOUNT OF
5 $50,984.75 FOR THE PURCHASE OF FINISHER'S MEDALS FOR THE
6 24TH ANNUAL LITTLE ROCK MARATHON TO BE HELD FEBRUARY
7 28 THROUGH MARCH 1,2026; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the 24th Annual Little Rock Marathon is scheduled to take place from February 28
10 through March 1, 2026, and is expected to draw approximately 14,000 participants from across the nation
11 and beyond; and,
12 WHEREAS, as part of the registration, all finishers of the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and
13 Kids' Race will receive a commemorative Finisher's Medal upon completion of their event; and,
14 WHEREAS, in accordance with the City's purchasing policies, a public bid was held to solicit
15 competitive proposals from qualified trophy and award vendors for the production and delivery of the
16 Finisher's Medals; and,
17 WHEREAS, five (5) companies submitted bids, and upon thorough review and evaluation of the bid
18 pricing and specifications by the City's Purchasing Staff, Hasty Awards was determined to be the lowest
19 responsive and responsible bidder; and,
20 WHEREAS, the total cost for the Finisher's Medals an amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Nine
21 Hundred Eighty-Four and 75/100 Dollars ($50,984.75), and funding for this expenditure is available from
22 the Little Rock Marathon Special Project Account No. 210459-S00B268.
23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
25 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Hasty Awards in an
26 amount no to exceed $50,984.75 for the purchase of Finisher's Medals for the 24th Annual Little Rock
27 Marathon, to be held February 28—March 1,2026.
28 Section 2.Funds for this purchase shall be paid from the Little Rock Marathon Special Project Account
29 No. 210459-S00B268.
30 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word
31 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication
32 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
33 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.

1 Section 4.Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
