Home My WebLink About16794 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,794 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE 5 CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 6 EXCEED SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY THOUSAND, FIFTY AND 7 80/100 DOLLARS ($680,050.80), FOR THE EAST 39TH STREET 8 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design drainage 12 improvements on East 39th Street,Riddick Street and Frazier Pike Road;and, 13 WHEREAS,project improvements include construction of drainage improvements,including 14 a concrete box culvert road crossing, underground drainage pipes,junction boxes, concrete-lined 15 drainage ditches,and associated driveway aprons and related work;and, 16 WHEREAS, responses to an Invitation to Bid ("ITB"), Bid No. 3043 for East 39th Street 17 Drainage were received by the City of Little Rock on July 31,2025;and 18 WHEREAS,seven(7)bids were received,and it was determined that Redstone Construction 19 Group,Inc.,provided the lowest,responsive,responsible bid meeting specifications;and, 20 WHEREAS, the total cost for this contract shall not exceed Six Hundred Eighty Thousand, 21 Fifty and 80/100 Dollars,($680,050.80),which is the base bid amount of Five Hundred Sixty-Six 22 Thousand, Seven Hundred Nine and 00/100 Dollars, ($566,709.00) plus a twenty percent (20%) 23 contingency; and, 24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 25 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the East 39th 27 Street Drainage project with Redstone Construction Group, Inc. in an amount not to exceed Six 28 Hundred Eighty Thousand,Fifty and 80/100 Dollars,($680,050.80),which is the base bid amount 29 of Five Hundred Sixty-Six Thousand,Seven Hundred Nine and 00/100 Dollars,($566,709.00)plus 30 a twenty percent(20%)contingency. 31 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds authorized 32 by Little Rock,Ark.Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023). Account Activity B 1 D009D. 33 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 34 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such [Page 1 of 2] 1 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall 2 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional 3 was not originally a part of the resolution. 4 Section 4.
