3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ROYAL OVERHEAD DOOR, INC., TO
5 PROVIDE OVERHEAD DOOR REPAIRS ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS;
6 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid on an annual contract, under Bid No. 3021, was issued to provide
9 overhead door repairs on an hourly basis as needed, and Royal Overhead Door, Inc. submitted the lowest
10 quotation at$72.00 per hour labor; and,
11 WHEREAS,the initial term of the contract will be one(1)year and may be extended for an additional
12 six(6)one(1)year periods,upon agreement of the parties.
13 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS.
15 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
16 Royal Overhead Door, Inc. to provide overhead door repairs on an hourly basis as needed, at the rate of
17 $72.00 per hour per technician (non-emergency service calls typically cost $144.00 per hour for two (2)
18 technicians),equipment per project at$50.00 per service call;emergency call outs consisting of after hours,
19 weekends,holidays at a base rate of$150.00.00 and parts itemized, 15%for an initial term of one year from
20 the date of the award which may be extended for an additional six (6) one (1) year periods upon written
21 agreement of the parties.
22 Section 2. Funds are available in Building Services Operating Budget Account#104010-61010.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
