3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 CONTRACT FOR THE ONE -TIME PURCHASE OF AMMUNITION FOR THE POLICE
5 DEPARTMENT UNDER THE ARKANSAS STATE CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Police Department has been offered a one -time option to purchase ammunition
9 for the remainder of 2007 from the second lowest State Contract bidder, and
10 WHEREAS, this purchase will supply the remaining Recruit School session, the next Recruit
11 School session and all qualifications mandated for 2007;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
13 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Oklahoma
15 Police Supply, Inc. for the one -time purchase of Police Department ammunition for 2007 in the amount
16 of Fifty -four Thousand, Six Hundred Seventeen and 96/100 Dollars ($54,617.96).
17 Section 2. Funds for this purchase order are available in the 2007 Departmental budget
18 accounts.
19 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
20 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
21 inconsistency.
22 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
23 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
24 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain
25 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
26 originally a part of the resolution.
