Any new site development must comply with the City's minimal landscape and buffer ordinance requirements and the requirements of the PCD, approved by the Planning Commission file No. Z-4933-J. 2. Signage is to be reviewed and permitted separately. A perimeter planting strip is required along any side of a vehicular use area that abuts adjoining property or street right-of-way. This strip shall be a minimum of nine (9) feet in width. Provide trees with an average linear spacing of not less than thirty (30) feet within the perimeter planting strip. Provide three (3) shrubs or vines (between the building and Wellington Hills right-of-way) for every thirty (30) linear feet of perimeter planting strip. Screening requirements will need to be met for any vehicular use areas adjacent to the street right of way or any adjacent properties of a more restrictive use. Provide screening shrubs with an average linear spacing of not less than three (3) feet on center and trees with an average linear spacing of thirty (30) feet on center within the required landscape area. Provide additional shrubs between the on site vehicular use areas and the Kanis and Wellington Hills rights -of -way. Existing plant materials can be used to meet the minimum code requirements if noted on the plan. All existing landscape areas and mature vegetation to remain shall be protected as per City of Little Rock Landscape Ordinance (Sec. 15-100). Any trees or vegetation located in close proximity to construction shall have the area within the dripline fenced and protected from development activities. Note existing landscape to remain if applicable or provide additional trees and shrubs on the east perimeter and additional shrubs on the south perimeter. 4. For any site, trees from two (2) different geniuses are required. At least twenty-five (25) percent of the trees on the site outside of those required for screening purposes are to be of evergreen variety. 5. Provide plant material schedule / legend and size specifications of proposed material. In order to receive credit trees must be two (2) inches in caliper and shrubs must be eighteen (18) inches in height at installation. 6. The development of two (2) acres or more requires the landscape plan to be stamped with the seal of a registered landscape architect. 7. All landscape areas shall be protected as per City of Little Rock Landscape Ordinance (Sec. 15-100). Mulch, edging, wheel stops, and/or concrete curb and gutter will be required. 8. Any new ground or roof mounted mechanical systems shall be screened from abutting properties and streets. Any trash receptacles or pickup shall be oriented away from a primary street side of the property and screened from the public right-of-way. Screen shall exceed the height of the dumpster or trash containment areas by at least two (2) feet not to exceed eight (8) feet total height. 9. The City Beautiful Commission recommends preserving as many existing trees as feasible on this site. Credit toward fulfilling Landscape Ordinance requirements can be given when preserving trees of six (6) inch caliper or larger. Review 7/2/21 A perimeter planting strip is required adjacent to the street right-of-way or along any side of a vehicular use area that abuts adjoining property. This strip shall be a minimum of nine (9) feet in width. One (1) tree and three (3) shrubs or vines shall be planted for every thirty (30) linear feet of perimeter planting strip. Trees and shrubs can be grouped together but shall not be separated by more than 100 feet. To receive credit trees must be within 30-feet of the street right-of-way. There is approximately 195 linear feet of property adjacent to the Chenal Parkway right-of-way. A minimum of seven (7) trees will be required within 30 feet of the property line. Screening requirements between the vehicular use area and street rights -of way are adequate. Additional shrubs will be required between the building and Wellington Hills right-of-way. The building length is approximately 195 feet, a minimum of 65 shrubs will be required in this area. 21- 039 — Lumber One Additions and Alterations — 10800 Colnel Glenn - 202114463 1. Provide additional screening shrubs on -site between the vehicular use areas and the Colonel Glenn right-of-way. 4. Developments with one hundred fifty (150) or more parking spaces shall have: Single -trunk trees with a minimum caliper of three (3) inches measured twelve (12) inches above grade at planting to satisfy fifty (50) percent of the tree requirement. The remaining minimum caliper requirement may be reduced to two (2) inches. Plant material quantities provided indicate 77 trees. A minimum of these 39 trees are required to be a minimum of three (3) inches in caliper at installation to meet the minimum code requirements. Plant material schedule indicates only 22 trees specified as three (3) inch caliper. 5.
