LOCATE AND EXPOSE ALL EXISTING 1. The latest "Standard Pipeline Specifications" of Central Arkansas Water shall apply.

PRIOR TO INSTALLING WATER LINES Reclamation Authority shall apply.
3- The contractor shall locate all existing utilities before beginning construction.
4. Water lines shall have a minimal horizontal separation of ten (19) feet from all
sewer lines except for crossings. The water line shall pass above the sewer line
With a minimum of 18" of vertical separation and maintain a minimum ground
cover of 30" above the water line. Where 18" of vertical separation and 30" of
ground cover cannot be maintained or where the water line passes under the
sewer line, than either the water line or the sewer line shall be encased as per
ADH and CAW requirements. A minimum Of 6" clearance shall be maintained
between encasement pipe and unencased lines,
5. The contractor shall verity horizontal and vertical alignment of storm sewer, sanitary
sewer, and water lines to ensure that they are installed with adequate cover and
clearance, Rough grading shall be complete before installation of storm sewer,
sanitary sewer, water mains and service.
6. The contractor shall make connection to existing sanitary sewer and water mains
after they are cleaned, tested and construction approved by utility inspector.
7. All fills are to be made in 8" lifts and compacted to 95 % of modified proctor density
(ASTM D-1557), as determined by inplace density tests. In transition areas between
cuts and fills the lop 8' in the cut shall be broken and compacted to a minimum of
95% modified proctor density.
8_ The contractor shall coordinate with each utility company prior to any excavation.
Any damage to existing utility lines caused by contractors operations shall be
repaired at the contractor's expense.
9. Concrete shall have a minimum 28 day compressive strength of 3000 psi unless
noted
10. All reinforcing steel shall be grade 40 unless noted.
11. All water mains to go over drainage and sewer crossings unless otherwise noted.
