HomeMy WebLinkAbout16788 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,788 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CLIMATE POLLUTION REDUCTION GRANT SUBAWARD 5 AGREEMENT WITH METROPLAN, IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE 6 HUNDRED FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS($340,000.00),TO PURCHASE 7 29 ELECTRIC VEHICLES TO REPLACE VEHICLES;AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,MetroPlan has received grant funds from the Environmental Protection Agency's ("EPA") 11 Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Program ("CPRG") to fund the replacement of the Fleet Services 12 Department's internal combustion engines("ICE")vehicles with electric alternative vehicles; and, 13 WHEREAS, MetroPlan desires to partner with the City and its Fleet Services Department through a 14 subaward agreement, in the amount of Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars($340,000.00),to cover the 15 cost of purchasing 29 electric vehicles and collecting the rebates associated with the electric vehicle 16 purchases per the grant provisions. 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 19 Section 1.The City Manager or Mayor is authorized to enter into a subaward agreement with MetroPlan 20 to accept grant funds in the amount of Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars($340,000.00),to cover the 21 cost of purchasing 29 electric vehicles. 22 Section 2. Funds for this project will be available in a Fleet Services Account. 23 Section 3. Severability.
