HomeMy WebLinkAbout16787 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,787 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH UTILITY ASSOCIATES, INC., IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS 6 ($79,000.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO RENEW 7 POLARIS SOFTWARE SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES AND HARDWARE 8 WARRANTY FOR ROCKET MOBILE MODEMS OUTFITTED IN 225 9 LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT PATROL VEHICLES;AND FOR 10 OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,it is essential that the Little Rock Police Department("LRPD")be equipped with reliable 13 tools and equipment for its patrol units,ensuring officers in the field have access to crucial real time access 14 to the City's network, Global Positioning System,crime data,CAD systems, and video feeds; and, 15 WHEREAS, vendor selection with Utility Associates, Inc., was made through the utilization of a 16 cooperative purchase agreement with Texas Department of Information Resources under Contract No.DIR- 17 CPO-4799,pursuant to Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18,2025)as amended; and, 18 WHEREAS,the cost to renew the Polaris software subscription,services and hardware warranty with 19 Utility Associates, Inc.to support Rocket mobile modems installed in 225 patrol vehicles is Seventy-Nine 20 Thousand Dollars($79,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees. 21 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Utility Associates Inc., in the 24 amount of Seventy-Nine Thousand Dollars ($79,000.00), for renew Polaris software subscription services 25 and hardware warranty to support the Rocket mobile modems currently operating in 225 LRPD patrol 26 vehicles. 27 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available in Account No. 108529-63390-S52C458. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution.
