3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 PURCHASE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3108 WEST 14TH STREET,
5 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS 72204 FOR FACILITY-BASED HOUSING
6 USING U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING & URBAN DEVELOPMENT
7 (HUD) FUNDS;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS,the City wishes to purchase the property located at 3108 West 14th Street in Little Rock,
10 Arkansas 72204 for facility-based housing; and,
11 WHEREAS, City staff has conducted a title search of the property which revealed clear title to the
12 property and no title issues;and,
13 WHEREAS, Ark. Code Ann. § 14-54-302 requires that the City accept the property by resolution
14 adopted by the Board of Directors.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager or Mayor to enter into a contract to
18 purchase property for One Hundred Eighty Dollars ($180,000), plus survey fees and closing costs, more
19 specifically described as:
20 LOTS 9 AND 10 AND THE WEST 5 FEET OF THE SOUTH 93 FEET OF LOT 11,
21 BLOCK 22,JONES AND WORTHEN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
22 PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, AND THE SOUTH 5 FEET OF ALLEY LYING
23 NORTH OF AND ADJOINING SAID LOTS 9, 10 AND 11, CLOSED BY CITY
24 ORDINANCE #12,992 ON DECEMBER 17, 1974 AS RECORDED IN BOOK 1322 AT
25 PAGE 573,PULASKI COUNTY,ARKANSAS,RECORDS.
26 Section 2. The property shall be used for a public purpose, specifically for Facility-Based Housing;
27 the property shall be purchased with funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban
28 Development Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS programs,funding source 24009/G3563723.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
30 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect a if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 ordinance.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent
2 with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
