3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE
4 A CHANGE ORDER REQUEST WITH REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION
5 GROUP, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED
6 TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-EIGHT
7 DOLLARS AND 52/100 ($222,678.52), FOR ADDITIONAL
8 CONSTRUCTION SERVICES INCLUDING ROAD UNDERCUTTING,
9 CONCRETE, CURB AND GUTTER, SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS,
10 SEWER SERVICE INSTALLATION AND DRIVEWAY ACCESS RELATED
11 TO THE LITTLE ROCK MICRO HOME VILLAGE PROJECT;AND FOR
12 OTHER PURPOSES.

14 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 16,666 (March 4, 2025), previously authorized a
15 contract with Redstone Construction Group, Inc., for site grading and utilities associated with the
16 development of the Little Rock Micro Home Village to house unsheltered individuals; and,
17 WHEREAS, the project includes transitional housing units, case management services, health and
18 mental health clinics, a workforce development classroom, a commercial kitchen, and security facilities to
19 support unsheltered individuals transitioning to stable housing; and,
20 WHEREAS, during the course of construction, additional work was deemed necessary by the Little
21 Rock Water Reclamation Authority, the Arkansas Department of Transportation, Central Arkansas Water,
22 and the Arkansas Department of Health, including undercutting of the road base,additional concrete work,
23 curb and gutter construction, added sidewalks, 2,000 linear feet of sewer service, and DR-1 driveway
24 access;and,
25 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc. has submitted a change order request to complete the
26 additional scope of work in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand, Six Hundred
27 Seventy-Eight Dollars and Fifty-Two Cents($222,678.52);and,
28 WHEREAS, funding for this change order is available in Account Number 108359-S35C644.
29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
30 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
31 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a change order with Redstone
32 Construction Group, Inc. in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand, Six Hundred

1 Seventy-Eight Dollars and Fifty-Two Cents($222,678.52)for additional construction services at the Little
2 Rock Micro Home Village Project.
3 Section 2.The source of funding for this change order shall be Account Number 108359-S35C644.
4 Section 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
5 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
6 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
7 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
8 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
9 resolution.
10 Section 5. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
11 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
