3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH COMCAST BUSINESS, IN THE AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND,
6 THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($735,300.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES
7 AND FEES, TO PROVIDE ESSENTIAL FIBER INFRASTRUCTURE
8 ENHANCEMENTS TO THE CITY;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the City has a need to invest in enhancing its fiber network infrastructure and VOIP
11 telephone services across 45 city locations, to equip the City's departments to better serve the City's
12 residents; and,
13 WHEREAS, vendor selection of Comcast Business for the City's multi-site fiber network and VOIP
14 telephone service infrastructure enhancement project was made utilizing Omnia Partners Cooperative
15 Region 14 Educational Service Agency Contract No. 157549,pursuant to Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No.
16 16,603 (February 18, 2025),as amended; and,
17 WHEREAS,the total cost of these multi-site fiber network infrastructure and VOIP telephone service
18 enhancements is Seven Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand, Three Hundred Dollars and zero cents
19 ($735,300.00),plus applicable taxes.
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
22 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Comcast Business,in the amount
23 of Seven Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand,Three Hundred Dollars($735,300.00), plus applicable taxes and
24 fees,to update the City's fiber network infrastructure and VOIP telephone services.
25 Section 2. Funding for this project is available in Account No. 103030-61350.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4.Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
