HomeMy WebLinkAbout16765 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,765 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TETRA TECH, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT 5 TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS($500,000.00);FOR 6 DEBRIS MONITORING RELATED TO THE SEVERE STORMS FROM 7 APRIL 2-22,2025,IN WHICH FEMA DECLARED A DISASTER;AND FOR 8 OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, from April 2-22, 2025, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas ("the City") experienced 11 significant damage from a series of severe storms producing large amounts of vegetative debris;and 12 WHEREAS,on May 3,2025,Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders requested a major disaster 13 declaration from President Donald J.Trump as a result of the severe storms from April 2-22;and, 14 WHEREAS,on May 23,2025,President Donald J.Trump approved the major disaster declaration for 15 certain counties in Arkansas, including Pulaski County;and, 16 WHEREAS, on May 29, 2025, following the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) 17 applicant briefmg with the City of Little Rock Emergency Management team, it was determined that the 18 City is eligible for financial assistance provided the City employs a debris removal monitor to oversee 19 aspects of the recovery work; and, 20 WHEREAS,on June 13,2025,the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) Bid No. 3041 to solicit 21 eligible bidders for Debris Monitoring;and, 22 WHEREAS, pursuant to this RFP, and the approved Selection Committee selected Tetra Tech, Inc. 23 among the four(4)qualified submissions;and, 24 WHEREAS,the total contract amount for Debris Collection Monitoring Services shall not exceed Five 25 Hundred Thousand Dollars($500,000.00); 26 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 27 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 28 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract in an amount not to exceed Five 29 Hundred Thousand Dollars and zero cents ($500,000.00), with Tetra Tech, Inc. for Debris Collection 30 Monitoring Services. 31 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the FEMA DR-4783 account No. 270409 G40DF251 32 63390. [PAGE 1 OF 2] t Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be 2 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 3 Resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 4 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution. 5 Section 4. Repealer.
