HomeMy WebLinkAbout16763 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,763 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE 4 AN AGREEMENT WITH WAGNER GENERAL CONTRACTORS, INC., 5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-THREE THOUSAND, 6 EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR AND 40/100 DOLLARS, ($73,844.40), 7 FOR THE 7TH STREET BICYCLE RAMPS PROJECT; AND,FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design pedestrian 11 improvements to allow bus passengers to safely access bus stops adjacent to the cycle track along 7th Street 12 between South Cross Street and Wolfe Street; and, 13 WHEREAS, project improvements include construction of bus passenger landings with bicycle 14 crossing ramps and associated curb, and sidewalk modifications where necessary and other related work; 15 and 16 WHEREAS,three(3)bids were received on July 1,2025, in response to Invitation to Bid("ITB")No. 17 3040 for 7th Street Bicycle Ramps, and it was determined that Wagner General Contractors, Inc.,provided 18 the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and, 19 WHEREAS,funding for this project is from the%-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and Compensating 20 Use Tax Funds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 14,803 (June 19, 2018) from Account 21 Activity TS 1 B 139. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the 7th Street Bicycle 25 Ramps project with Wagner General Contractors, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Three 26 Thousand, Eight Hundred Forty-Four and 40/100 Dollars, ($73,844.40), which is the base bid amount of 27 Sixty-One Thousand, Five Hundred Thirty-Seven Dollars ($61,537.00), plus if needed, a twenty percent 28 (20%)contingency. 29 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the %Cent Capital Improvement Sales and 30 Compensating Use Tax Funds as authorized by Little Rock, Ark. Resolution 14,803 (June 19, 2018)from 31 Account Activity TS 1 B 139. 32 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title,section, paragraph, item, sentence,clause,phrase, or 33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or [Page 1 of 2] 1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 3 resolution. 4 SECTION 4. Repealer.
