3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ROBERTS-MCNUTT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT
5 TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FIFTEEN THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED
6 AND EIGHTY DOLLARS AND 40/100 ($115,580.40) PLUS APPLICABLE
7 TAXES AND FEES, FOR EXTERIOR REPAIRS TO CITY HALL; AND
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the City Hall building is in urgent need of interior and exterior repairs; and,
11 WHEREAS, it has been determined that the underlying cause of the interior damage is due to the
12 water infiltration resulting from exterior leaks; and,
13 WHEREAS, Roberts-McNutt,A TIPS-authorized contractor,(TIPS contract#RCSP 230104)has
14 provided a proposal to perform necessary exterior repairs including: Pressure washing, removing loose
15 parge coat and applying new parge coat, removal of failed sealant at window perimeter and reseal with
16 commercial grad sealant, and applying two coats of high build acrylic elastomeric coating to repaired and
17 cleaned walls, which will match as close as possible to the existing color;and,
18 WHEREAS,the proposed repairs are essential to preserve the structural integrity of City Hall and
19 to help prevent further interior deterioration; and,
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
21 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Roberts-McNutt in an amount
23 of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand,Five Hundred Eighty dollars and 40 cents($115,580.40),plus applicable
24 taxes and fees for the purpose of performing exterior repairs to the City Hall building as described.
25 Section 2. Funds are available from the Building Services Facilities Account #108409 61010
26 S400633.
27 Section3. Severability. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be
28 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
29 Resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
30 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution.
31 Section 5. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with
32 any provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
