CODE 4 CHAPTER 34, ARTICLE HI — GROUND TRANSPORTATION SERVICE 5 VEHICLES, §34-42(c); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS,Little Rock,Ark.,Rev. Code § 34-42(the"Ordinance")requires the City of Little Rock 8 Board of Directors ("Board") to perform an annual review of the maximum rates taxi operators are 9 authorized to charge to determine the appropriateness of each rate;and, 10 WHEREAS, the Board does not feel the need to perform such an annual review of the maximum 11 rates taxi operators are authorized to charge;and, 12 WHEREAS, the Ordinance provides a process for taxi operators to request a change in taxi rates; 13 and, 14 WHEREAS, it has been determined that a modification of Little Rock,Ark., Rev. Code § 34-42(c) is 15 necessary in order to address this issue. 16 NOW,THEREFORE,BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. Little Rock,Ark., Rev. Code § 34-42(c)shall be deleted in its entirety and shall substitute 19 the following language: 20 Sec.34-42.—Rates and additional charges. 21 (c) For a vehicle operated pursuant to the ordinances for a transportation network company, the 22 rates will be determined in accordance with those ordinances. 23 Section 2. Severability. In the event any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, subparagraph, 24 item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 25 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining provisions of this 26 ordinance,as if such invalid or unconstitutional provision were not originally a part of this ordinance. 27 Section 3. Repealer.
