3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH KETCHER & COMPANY, INC., FOR THE
5 REPLACEMENT OF THE JIM DAILEY FITNESS CENTER
6 NATATORIUM ROOF REPLACEMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
7 EXCEED SIX HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED
8 FIFTY DOLLARS ($635,550.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES,
9 AND A TEN PERCENT CONTINGENCY, IF NECESSARY; AND FOR
10 OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,after years of deferred maintenance,there is a need to replace the Natatorium Roof at Jim
13 Dailey Fitness Center to ensure continued usability of the Center's recreational pool for residents; and,
14 WHEREAS,Cromwell Architects Engineers,Inc.,designed a new roof concept for Jim Dailey Fitness
15 Center Natatorium and vendor selection of Ketcher&Company,Inc.,was made by the City of Little Rock
16 through TIPS/TAPS Contract No. 24060401, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 16,603
17 (February 18,2025);and,
18 WHEREAS, Ketcher&Company,Inc.'s bid proposal for the replacement of the Jim Dailey Fitness
19 Center Natatorium roof is in an amount of Six Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand,Five Hundred Fifty Dollars
20 ($635,550.00), including applicable taxes and fees.
21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
23 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Ketcher& Company, Inc., in
24 an amount up to Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars, including applicable taxes,fees,and a ten(10)percent
25 contingency fee,if needed,to replace the Natatorium Roof at Jim Dailey Fitness Center.
26 Section 2.Bond Funds from the Jim Dailey Fitness/Aquatic Upgrades,Account No.332459-B45D005
27 are being used for the Natatorium Roof replacement.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
2 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
