RESOLUTION NO. 4 16,668 (APRIL 15, 2025)TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT AMENDMENT 5 WITH WAGNER GENERAL CONTRACTORS, INC., IN AN AMOUNT 6 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED EIGHT THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED 7 THIRTY-THREE AND 42/100 DOLLARS($208,633.42)FOR ADDITIONAL 8 RENOVATIONS AND REPAIRS TO FIRE STATION NO. 9; AND FOR 9 OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,the Little Rock,Ark.Board of Directors("Board")adopted Resolution No. 16,372,(July 12 16, 2024), which authorized the City Manager to enter into a contract with Wagner General Contractors, 13 Inc. ("Contractor")for the construction of temporary Fire Station No. 9, in an amount not to exceed Nine 14 Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Twenty Dollars ($939,320.00), which included a fifteen 15 percent(15%)contingency;and 16 WHEREAS, a contract amendment was necessary to amend the contract to cover the cost of change 17 orders for additional renovations and repairs which exceed the fifteen percent(15%)contingency budgeted 18 for these renovations and repairs to temporary Fire Station No.9;and, 19 WHEREAS, the additional renovations and repairs included electrical problems with rewiring and 20 generator installation, HVAC replacement, security system and alert communication system installation, 21 and roof and gutter replacement at temporary Fire Station No.9;and 22 WHEREAS, the Board adopted Little Rock., Ark. Resolution No. 16,668 (April 15, 2025), which 23 authorized the City Manager to enter into an amended contract with the Contractor for the change orders in 24 an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighteen Thousand,Three Hundred Sixty-Seven and 73/100 Dollars 25 ($118,367.73);and 26 WHEREAS, now two(2) additional change orders in the amount of Ninety Thousand Two Hundred 27 Sixty-Five and 69/100 Dollars ($90,265.69) make the total for all three (3) change orders Two Hundred 28 Eight Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Three and 42/100 Dollars($208,633.42). 29 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 30 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 31 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an amended contract with Wagner General 32 Contractors, Inc. to renovate Temporary Fire Station 9 in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eight 33 Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Three and 42/100 Dollars($208,633.42). [Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 2. Funding for this project is available through the Federal Emergency Management Agency 2 ("FEMA")Temp Facility special project(270519-G 1 DF231). 3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 4 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 5 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 6 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 7 resolution. 8 Section 4. Repealer.
