Home My WebLink About16744 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,744 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND 4 THE CONTRACT WITH OLSSON, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 5 EXCEED TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000.00), FOR 6 ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING AND DESIGN FOR THE BELLA ROSA 7 BRIDGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,FTN Associates,LTD,an engineering firm,was selected pursuant to an annual statement 10 of qualifications process, bid number 2306,to provide consultant services; and, 11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock (the "City") Board of Directors adopted Little Rock, Ark., 12 Resolution No. 16,068 (August 15, 2023) to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with 13 FTN Associates,LTD in an amount not to exceed Sixty-Two-Thousand,Six Hundred Dollars($62,600.00) 14 for the analysis and design of the Bella Rosa Drive at Taylor Loop Creek Bridge project; and, 15 WHEREAS,on April 29,2024,FTN Associates,LTD was acquired by Olsson,Inc.and all work under 16 contract thereby assigned to Olsson, Inc., including consultant services for the design of the Bella Rosa 17 Bridge Improvement Project; and, 18 WHEREAS,after completing 90% design plans and submitting construction notice documents to the 19 US Army Corps of Engineers, it was determined that additional analysis was needed to determine if 20 federally protected species would be negatively affected by the project and develop a mitigation plan if 21 necessary,and Olsson,Inc.,has provided a proposal to conduct the endangered species determination. 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract for 25 engineering services with Olsson,Inc., in an amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars($20,000.00), 26 for a total contract not to exceed the amount of Eighty-Two Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars ($82,600.00) 27 for design of the Bella Rosa Drive at Taylor Loop Creek Bridge project. 28 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds, as authorized by 29 Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 15,968(May 2,2023): Account Activity B5D040S. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and Page 1 of 2] 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 4.
