We usually only need to "approve" of a replat whenever there is an existing easement already recorded for the property. If there is an easement recorded
for the line behind your house, then let me know and I'll get you a letter specific to that issue saying we don't have an objection to the replat or the work
being proposed.

Based on the attached sketch Entergy is agreeable to the location of the proposed carport. The existing service line height at its lowest point over the
proposed structure is 19 feet 9 inches. The height of the carport as I understand it will be about 11 feet.
According to the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) the clearance in these situations should be a minimum of 3 feet 6 inches. So the separation after
construction of about 8 feet 9 inches exceeds NESC requirements.
The roof of the structure must not be readily accessible to pedestrians (e.g. — permanent ladder must not be installed on the side of the building to limit
access).
As long as these conditions are met Entergy does not object to the carport location or dimensions.

You are correct. There are powerlines and cable tv lines running down the property lines in the middle of
the block which is between the lots we own and want to replat. I wasn't sure if there were phone lines or
equipment on 'my end' of the block, and I'm not clear about the easement. I guess you are saying I must
dedicate an easement? You may have drawings I haven't seen, but I don't believe this block ever had an
alley and it's never had an easement. I know when we built our house in 2006 (and had a phone line
installed) someone dropped a line from the power pole to the south of our property and hurried a line
(about 2" deep) running north under the powerlines up to our garage and then into our house. In fact the
phone service to the house to our south and west also have their phone service lines coming from the
same powerpole to the south of our property.
FYI: Entergy is not going to require a dedicated easement for their secondary service lines. (I do want
to build a carport at the end of our driveway, but I am not submitting those plans at this time.) The
current process is just to replat the property. Entergy walked the property last week, and as long as I
comply with the NEC for required clearances between the carport and their lines they are okay with my
plans.

You're good to replat from Entergy's perspective as long as we have an access easement to maintain our
existing facilities. By virtue of prescriptive rights Entergy has an easement for the existing facilities.
