Zoning & Subdivision Manager City of Little Rock Re: Conditional Use Permit Request Our Lady of the Holy Souls Parish 1015-1021 N. Tyler Street / 1016-1020 N. Harrison Street Little Rock, Arkansas To Whom it May Concern, Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, respectfully requests that the City of Little Rock grant a Conditional Use Permit for the above referenced addresses to allow for the construction of an off-street surface parking lot for Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Parish. It is the intent of the Parish to remove the two remaining residential structures from the property and to construct a 65-vehicle lot to provide much -needed parking for church services, school functions and parish social events. This new facility is expected to help relieve on -street parking congestion in the neighborhood currently experienced during parish activities. In addition, to help mitigate the visual impact of the new lot, every effort will be made to retain as many of the mature trees on -site as possible. The Parish is also petitioning the city to abandon the remaining 100' of alley right-of-way separating the referenced lots as part of this submission. An Abandonment Petition and supporting material are submitted herewith. The referenced property, to the best of our knowledge, is not covered by a Bill of Assurance. If you have any questions regarding the proposed facility, please do not hesitate to contact either Susie Williams at the parish office (501-663-8632), or Greg Peckham at Peckham + Smith Architects, Inc. (501-663-3635). Thank you for your consideration. Greg R. Peckham, AIA Peckham + Smith Architects, Inc. 2222 COTTONDALE LANE, SUITE 220 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS 72202 501.663.3635
