3 AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE ABANDONMENT AND DEM-
4 OLITION OF THREE (3) DANGEROUS UNOCCUPIED RESIDENTIAL
5 STRUCTURES AS A PUBLIC SAFETY HAZARD; AND FOR OTHER
6 PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock (the "City") Department of Housing and Neighborhood Pro-
9 grams has determined three(3)structures to be public safety hazards that need to be demolished; and,
10 WHEREAS, after notices were mailed to the owners in accordance with Arkansas state law, and the
11 three (3) structures have been deemed abandoned by the owners, or the owners have requested the City to
12 demolish;and,
13 WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Neighborhood Programs received an estimate in the
14 amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars($50,000.00)to demolish and remove these structures; and,
15 WHEREAS, the structures have liens as reflected in Exhibit A, which includes the lien amounts and
16 property descriptions.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the demolition of the three(3)structures identi-
20 fied in Exhibit A for a total amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars($50,000.00)
21 Section 2. Funds for this program are available from Account Number 108359.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju-
24 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and ef-
25 fect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances and resolutions that are inconsistent with the provisions of
28 this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
