Moore on Oc- 7 tober 14,2023,and the Board of Directors wishes to establish a process to fill the position as expeditiously 8 as possible; and, 9 WHEREAS, only the Mayor and Members of the Board of Directors are authorized by state statute to 10 make and confirm the selection of a City Manager. 11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 12 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 13 Section 1. The members of the Board of Directors shall select three (3) members to seek out and 14 interview prospective candidates for the position of City Manager, and to make a recommendation to the 15 Mayor for his selection. 16 Section 2. This process shall be completed no later than September 1, 2025, with the hope that the 17 successful candidate can be selected and installed no later than September 30, 2025. 18 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 19 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 20 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect 21 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso- 22 lution. 23 Section 4. Repealer.
