3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CROMWELL ARCHITECTS ENGINEERS,
5 INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY THOUSAND
6 DOLLARS ($70,000.00) PLUS A TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLAR
7 ($20,000.00) CONTINGENCY, IF NEEDED, TO CREATE A PARK
8 FACILITIES INVENTORY AND PLANNING PROPOSAL FOR THE
9 CITY'S PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND, FOR OTHER
10 PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, to assure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable
13 federal or state laws,Park Facilities Inventory and Planning is critical to the City of Little Rock(the"City");
14 and,
15 WHEREAS,Letters of Intent were sent to all firms on the City's Statement of Qualifications list for
16 Bid No. 2708, fourteen (14) responses were received, and Cromwell Architects Engineers, Inc., was
17 selected as the most qualified to perform this service.
18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
20 Section 1.The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Cromwell Architects
21 Engineers, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) plus a Twenty
22 Thousand Dollar ($20,000.00) contingency, if needed, to provide the City's Parks and Recreation
23 Department with a Park Facilities Inventory and Planning Proposal.
24 Section 2.Funding is allocated from Parks Account No. I 08459-S45C478.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4.Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
