Home My WebLink About16732 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,732 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A FINAL ONE (1) YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH 5 JANITORIAL DOCTORS, INC., FOR MOWING CONTRACT NO. 1520 6 AND MOWING CONTRACT NO. 1521, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 7 EXCEED ONE-HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, THREE- 8 HUNDRED AND TEN DOLLARS ($147,310.00), PLUS APPLICABLE 9 TAXES AND FEES, TO PROVIDE MOWING AND GROUND 10 MAINTENANCE SERVICES TO THE CITY'S PARKS FACILITIES;AND 11 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock (the "City") Parks and Recreation Department has a continued 14 need for grounds maintenance services for the City's large urban park facilities;and, 15 WHEREAS,the City issued Public Bid No. 1697 and 1698,and received two(2)responses,to obtain 16 competitive bids from qualified grounds maintenance service providers for large urban park facilities;and 17 WHEREAS,Little Rock,Ark. Resolution Nos. 15,694 and 15,695 (June 7, 2022)authorized the City 18 Manager to enter into a contract with Janitorial Doctors,Inc.,for mowing and grounds maintenance services 19 to the City's Park facilities;and, 20 WHEREAS,the Parks and Recreation Department seeks to extend the contract with Janitorial Doctors, 21 Inc., for the third and final approved annual extension, in the amount of One Hundred Forty-Seven 22 Thousand, Three Hundred and Ten Dollars ($147,310.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, which breaks 23 down to Sixty-One Thousand, Four Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars ($61,425.00) for the extension of 24 Contract No. 1520 and Eighty-Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-Five Dollars ($85,885.00) for 25 Contract No. 1521. 26 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 27 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 28 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a final one-year contract extension of Mowing 29 Contract Nos. 1520 and 1521, with Janitorial Doctors, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Forty-Seven 30 Thousand Three Hundred and Ten Dollars ($147,310.00), plus applicable taxes and fees, for providing 31 mowing and ground maintenance services to the City's Park facilities. 32 Section 2. Funding for this contract extension is available in Parks Maintenance Contract Account, 33 Account No. 104523-63211. [Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 5 resolution. 6 Section 4.Repealer.
