HomeMy WebLinkAbout16691 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,691 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD 4 A CONTRACT TO THE GRIFFIN GROUP, LLC IN AN AMOUNT NOT 5 TO EXCEED SEVENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY- 6 SIX AND 35/100 DOLLARS ($77,866.35), FOR RIGHT OF WAY 7 MOWING AND TRIMMING PHASE HI FOR WARDS 2 AND 7 WITHIN 8 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,right of way mowing and trimming is needed within the City of Little Rock to maintain 12 public rights-of-way along City streets;and, 13 WHEREAS,the contract mowing for this program will be in three (3) phases, and this Phase 3 will 14 provide contractor assistance to the Public Works Department by mowing some rights-of-way along street 15 segments located in Wards 2 and 7; and, 16 WHEREAS, the City issued an Invitation to Bid No. 3033 for the 2025 Right of Way Mowing and 17 Trimming Phase III Program and two bids were received; it was determined that The Griffin Group, LLC 18 was the lowest responsible and responsive bid. 19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with The Griffin 22 Group, LLC in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Seven Thousand, Eight Hundred Sixty-Six and 35/100 23 Dollars ($77,866.35), or Sixty-Four Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighty-Eight and 62/100 Dollars 24 ($64,888.62),plus 20%contingency, if needed. 25 SECTION 2. Funding for this contract is available in account 205409-S40B672. 26 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 27 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 32 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 33 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
