3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 AWARD A CONTRACT TO THE GRIFFIN GROUP, LLC IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY THOUSAND TWO
6 HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT AND 48/100 DOLLARS ($80,268.48)
7 FOR RIGHT OF WAY MOWING AND TRIMMING WITHIN THE
8 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,right of way mowing and trimming is needed within the City of Little Rock(the
12 "City")to maintain public rights-of-way along public City Street segments;and,
13 WHEREAS, the contract mowing for this program will be in three (3) phases, and this
14 Phase 2 will provide contractor assistance to the Public Works Department by mowing some
15 rights-of-way along street segments located in Wards 3,4,5,6 and 7;and,
16 WHEREAS, the City issued an Invitation to Bid No. 3025 for the 2025 Right of Way
17 Mowing and Trimming Phase II Program on March 24,2025 and;two(2)bids were received,and
18 it was determined that The Griffin Group was the lowest responsible and responsive bid,meeting
19 specifications.
20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
21 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with The Griffin
23 Group, LLC in an amount not to exceed Eighty Thousand, Two Hundred Sixty-Eight and 48/100
24 Dollars ($80,268.48), or Sixty-Six Thousand, Eight Hundred Ninety and 40/100 Dollars
25 ($66,890.40), plus twenty percent(20%)contingency, if needed, for six(6)mowing cycles along
26 the street segments in Wards 3,4, 5,6 and 7.
27 Section 2. Funding for this contract is available in account 205409-S40B672.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
29 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
30 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
31 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional
32 was not originally a part of the resolution.
33 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
34 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
35 inconsistency.
1 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
2 adoption.
