HomeMy WebLinkAbout16687 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,687 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH REDSTONE 4 CONSTRUCTION GROUP,INC.IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE 5 HUNDRED SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND,SIX HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT 6 AND 80/100 DOLLARS, ($176,638.80), FOR THE ARTHUR LANE 7 WIDENING PROJECT; AND,FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS,it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design street and drainage 10 improvements along Arthur Lane between Gamble Road and Atkins Road;and, 11 WHEREAS,three qualified responses were received to Invitation to Bid("ITB"), Bid No. 3023 for 12 Arthur Lane Widening,and it was determined that Redstone Construction Group,Inc,provided the lowest 13 responsible and responsive bid;and, 14 WHEREAS,the total cost for this contract shall not exceed One Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand, Six 15 Hundred Thirty-Eight and 80/100 Dollars ($176,638.80) which is the base bid amount of One Hundred 16 Forty-Seven Thousand, One Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars ($147,199.00) plus a twenty percent (20%) 17 contingency,if needed. 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the Arthur Lane 21 Widening project with Redstone Construction Group, Inc. in an amount not to exceed One Hundred 22 Seventy-Six Thousand,Six Hundred Thirty-Eight and 80/100 Dollars,($176,638.80),which is the base bid 23 amount of One Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand, One Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars($147,199.00)plus a 24 twenty percent(20%)contingency, if needed. 25 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds, as authorized by 26 Little Rock,Ark.Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023),Account Activity B6D052S. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer.All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repeated to the extent of such inconsistency.
