3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDSCAPE STRUCTURES, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND
6 DOLLARS ($110,000.00) FOR PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
7 REPLACEMENT TO THE PLAYGROUND AT RIVERFRONT PARK;
8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, after years of deferred maintenance, a playground component at Riverfront Park
11 Playground was deemed irreparable and unsafe,then removed for the safety of the playground visitors;and
12 WHEREAS, citizens have voiced a need for an accessible replacement of this highly utilized
13 playground equipment at Riverfront Park Playground; and,
14 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark. Resolution ("LRR") No. 16,603 (February 18, 2025), as
15 amended by LRR No. 16,677 (May 6, 2025) vendor selection of Landscape Structures, Inc., was made
16 through Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Agreement Nos. 010521 and 010721; and,
17 WHEREAS,the cost for replacement of this playground component through Landscape Structure,Inc.,
18 is in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars($110,000.00); and,
19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Landscape Structures,Inc., in
22 an amount not to exceed One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($110,000.00) for replacement of a
23 playground component at Riverfront Park Playground.
24 Section 2. Funding is available from Park Bond Funds Facilities Upgrade Account No. 332459-
25 B45D018.
26 Section 3.Severability. In the event any title, paragraph, item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word of this
27 resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall
28 not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion
29 so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
30 Section 4.Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,which are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
