HomeMy WebLinkAbout16697 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,697 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH ALL SERVICE 4 ELECTRIC, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED 5 THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE 6 DOLLARS ($235,821.00), FOR THE SHACKLEFORD ROAD AT 7 COLONEL GLENN ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS; AND 8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design improvements to the 11 intersection of Shackleford Road and Colonel Glenn Road to make the intersection function more 12 efficiently and safely;and, 13 WHEREAS, project improvements include installation of additional signal and control system 14 equipment, revised pavement markings, and related work to the intersection of Shackleford Road and 15 Colonel Glenn Road; and, 16 WHEREAS, only one response to an Invitation to Bid ("ITB"), Bid No. 3031 for Shackleford Road 17 and Colonel Glenn Road Intersection Improvements was received by the City of Little Rock, and it was 18 determined that All Service Electric, Inc.,was qualified to perform the bid. 19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the Shackleford Road 22 and Colonel Glenn Road Intersection Improvements project with All Service Electric, Inc. in an amount 23 not to exceed Two Hundred Thirty-Five Thousand, Eight Hundred Twenty-One Dollars ($235,821.00), 24 which is the base bid amount of One Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand, Five Hundred Seventeen and 50/100 25 Dollars($196,517.50), plus a twenty percent(20%)contingency, if needed. 26 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by Little 27 Rock,Ark., Resolution No. 15,968(May 2,2023)with funds available from Account Activity B7D064S. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 32 resolution.
