CITY BEAUTIFUL
COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
The City Beautiful Commission held a planned meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday March 27, 2025,
at Little Rock City Hall, 2nd Floor, Board of Directors’ Chambers, 500 W. Markham St. Chairman
Steven Homeyer called the meeting to order.

APPROVAL OF THE FEBRUARY MEETING MINUTES:
Motion: A motion was made that the February 27, 2025, minutes be approved.
Second: The motion was seconded, and it passed unanimously.
VARIANCE REQUEST:
None requested.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Expense Report:
No Report but Commissioner Wierciak asked staff if we could set up a meeting with the people
who manage the T.R.E.E. fund. Staff agreed to set up a meeting.

COMMITTEE REPORTS, UPDATES:
Public Relations:
There was a discussion concerning the CBC Facebook page. Commissioner Chance and Attorney
Blagg are going to work together to get the password for the page and update its contents.
KLRB:
Commissioner Homeyer informed the Commission that “Keep Little Rock Beautiful” would like
to have one of the CBC Commissioners to serve on their Board. Commissioner Homeyer is going
to meet with KLRB and report back.
Landscape Awards:
Commissioner Homeyer informed the Commission that the three Landscape Awards went well.
We are not starting to take applications for the 2025 Landscape Awards.
Eye of the Beholder:
Commissioner Wierciak reminded staff that the Commission still needed new cards. Staff assured
the Commission that the cards will be provided at the next meeting.
T.R.E.E. Fund:
Commissioner Wierciak wants to meet with whomever is over the T.R.E.E fund. Staff will set up a
meeting with Commissioner Wierciak and the overseer of the T.R.E.E fund as soon as possible.
NEW BUSINESS:
• The Commission requested that Staff provide business cards for them. Staff agreed to get
in touch with each Commissioner to make sure what they want on their card. Staff hopes
to have the cards available at our next meeting.
• Commissioner Winchester requested that Staff invite the sustainable Commission come
speak about Naturalization Landscaping.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The next Commission meeting will be April 24, 2025.
ADJOURNMENT:
Chairman Homeyer entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Motion: A motion was made for the meeting to adjourn.
Second: The motion was seconded, and it passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:36 pm.
