SUBJECT: Permits for structures at the following addresses: 909 Cumberland;
307 East 9th; and 215 East 9th (Knights of Columbus structure)
This memo serves as administrative approval from the Little Rock Historic District
Commission allowing the contractor to obtain building permits for 909 Cumberland, 215
and 307 East 9th, all of which are located within the MacArthur Park Historic District.
I understand that the permits are for the application of new roofs at the above -listed
addresses. Routine maintenance is allowed within the local ordinance historic district
without a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA); there will be no changes of building
material, shape of roof or architectural profile. As such, and meeting all city, building
and health regulations, the application for building permits for new roofs at these
addresses should be approved. If exterior changes or improvements are made that
require a COA (see the Design Review Guidelines: MacArthur Park Historic District),
the LRHDC will be notified and appropriate actions taken for a public hearing.
