This application requests t4e addition of a double doorway to the north fagade of the
building. This doorway w 1 be used in conjunction with a proposed art and antique use.
The door is necessary to tr4nsport large and oversize equipment into and out of the
building. The north fapad is considered a secondary favade and fronts a vacant gravel
lot. A secondary facade i� one that does not have a direct relationship to an adjacent
street.

Brick and mortar work on t ie applicant's building shows possible evidence of a previous
door at the location. This c in be believed that the new door would be located at the
location of a previous one. Even though the new door might be larger than the previous
one, it might be needed for ertain types of Commercial activities that could continue in
the future.
The applicant has submitted elevation drawings indicating that the brick ledge and
window opening above the proposed door will remain. A six (6) foot by three (3) foot
landing area might need to 1 constructed adjacent to the door to conform to building
codes.
