ORDINANCE NO. 4 22,424 (MARCH 19, 2024); TO DECLARE IT IMPRACTICAL AND 5 UNFEASIBLE TO BID; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 6 EXTEND THE ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH BANNER FILE 7 EQUIPMENT, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED AN ANNUAL 8 BUDGET OF THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($300,000.00), 9 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR E-ONE PARTS AND 10 SERVICE FOR E-ONE EQUIPMENT IN THE CITY'S FLEET SERVICES 11 DEPARTMENT;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS,it is a necessity for Fleet Services to be equipped with reliable parts and services for minor 14 maintenance and repair of E-One equipment in the City's Fleet Services Department;and, 15 WHEREAS,Banner Fire Equipment, Inc. is the only authorized E-One dealer that can provide parts 16 and service for E-One equipment in the Central Arkansas area.; and, 17 WHEREAS,Little Rock,Ark.Ordinance No.22,424(March 19,2024)authorized a final one(1)-year 18 extension of the contract with Banner Fire Equipment,Inc.;and, 19 WHEREAS, the Annual Budget for this final contract extension is not to exceed Three Hundred 20 Thousand Dollars($300,000.00),plus applicable taxes and fees;and, 21 WHEREAS, this final contract extension represents year three(3)of a potential three(3)one(1)year 22 term of the annual parts and service purchase order with Banner Fire Equipment. 23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1.The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a final one(1)year 26 contract extension with Banner Fire Equipment, Inc., in an annual budget amount not to exceed Three 27 Hundred Thousand Dollars($300,000.00),plus applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of E-One parts 28 and services for the E-One Equipment in the City's Fleet Services Department. 29 Section 2.Funds for this annual parts and service contract are allocated in various Fleet Maintenance and 30 Parts Accounts. 31 Section 3.Banner Fire Equipment is the sole authorized E-One dealer that can provide parts and service 32 for E-One equipment,City Board of Directors declares it impractical and unfeasible to acquire this annual 33 parts and service contract through the competitive bid process.
