HomeMy WebLinkAbout16683 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,683 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO SET MAY 20,2025,AS THE DATE OF HEARING ON 4 THE APPEAL OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S ACTION IN 5 APPROVING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TITLED TINNIN GROUP HOME 6 2 — SPECIAL USE PERMIT, LOCATED AT 822 NORTH MONROE 7 STREET (Z-9892-B) IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND 8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, a notice of appeal has been filed as a result of the Little Rock Planning Commission's 11 action on February 13,2025, in approving a Special Use Permit titled Tinnin Group Home 2—Special Use 12 Permit, by a vote of eight(8)ayes,zero(0)nays, two(2)absent, and one(1)open position, located at 822 13 N. Monroe Street(Z-9892-B), in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and, 14 WHEREAS,the applicant requestion a special use permit to allow for a group home to be operated in 15 an exiting two thousand and eight hundred (2,800) square-foot two-story single-family residence with a 16 maximum of eight(8)residents in an area with a mixture of zoning and uses in the general area; and, 17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS. 19 Section 1. The hearing on the notice of appeal of the action approving a Special Use Permit titled 20 Tinnin Group Home 2 — Special Use Permit, located at 822 N. Monroe Street (Z-9892-B) in the City of 21 Little Rock, Arkansas, shall be held at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, 22 Arkansas in the Board of Directors Chambers, Second Floor of City Hall, 500 West Markham Street,Little 23 Rock, Arkansas at six o'clock on the 20th day of May 2025, or as soon as it is called to be heard on the 24 agenda. 25 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed 26 by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski 27 County,Arkansas,and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock. 28 Section 3. Certified mail notice of appeal hearing shall be provided by the appellants not less than ten 29 (10)days prior to the date of the hearing and the affidavit and other supporting evidence of notice shall be 30 filed not less than five(5)days prior to the date of review. This notice shall be given to all record parties in 31 interest whether for or against the request. The Cost of this notice shall be borne by the appellant. 32 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or Page 1 of 2 1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 3 resolution. 4 Section 4. Repealer.
