HomeMy WebLinkAbout16677 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,677 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 4 16,603 (FEBRUARY 18, 2025) TO ADD FOUR (4) MORE ENTITIES TO 5 THOSE AUTHORIZED TO CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF LITTLE 6 ROCK, ARKANSAS, WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDS AS PART OF A 7 COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, cooperative purchasing contracts are beneficial in that they provide access to pre- 11 negotiated contracts for goods and services and help secure better terms,reduce costs, and streamline the 12 procurement process by eliminating the need for the City to engage in competitive bidding;and 13 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock ("City") has a need to enter into certain additional cooperative 14 purchasing contracts;and, 15 WHEREAS,the City of Little Board of Directors approved City of Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 16 16,603 (February 18, 2025),which authorized the City Manager to enter into contracts with thirteen(13) 17 approved cooperatives;and, 18 WHEREAS,City staff has identified four(4)additional cooperative contracts that should be added to 19 the list of approved cooperative purchasing contracts;and, 20 WHEREAS,these cooperative purchasing contracts will allow the City to procure commodities and 21 services through and vendor contracts that the cooperative purchasing contracts may enter into;and, 22 WHEREAS,these cooperative purchasing contracts that shall be made available to the City and staff 23 will generally be available to utilize and leverage the cooperative contracts by issuing a purchase order 24 directly to the vendor, and, 25 WHEREAS,the City wishes to enter into these cooperative purchasing contracts in a form and format 26 approved by the City Attorney. 27 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 28 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 29 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into each of the following cooperative purchasing 30 contracts in a form and format approved by the City Attorney: 31 a. Equalis Group 32 b. RFxPremier 33 c. Axia Cooperative [Page 1 of2i 1 d. National Association of Counties(NACo) Public Promise Procurement 2 Section 2. Any limitation on any of these cooperative purchasing contracts shall be imposed by the 3 City's Chief Financial Officer or his designee. 4 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 5 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication 6 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 7 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. 8 Section 4. Repealer.
