Letter of Support for Application Request #Z-4300A
This memorandum serves as support for the applicant's (Wali Caradine) request
#Z-4300A for a variance from the bulk and area provisions to construct an accessory
building with reduced setbacks. As the site is located within the MacArthur Park
Historic District, the request required approval from the Little Rock Historic District
Commission. The approval from the Commission was granted last year.
The site's location is located also within the Central Little Rock Urban Renewal Project,
which requires a rear yard setback of twenty (20) feet. As this zoning district has no
setback requirements for accessory buildings, it is hoped that this application may be
approved as to afford the applicant the opportunity to construct an outbuilding that
meets design guidelines and is appropriate for the historic district.
