There are already event venues, PCDs, and agriculturally and forested zoned properties surrounding the area, including at the entrance of the neighborhood. Rezoning Goodwin Manor would be consistent with the existing precedent in the vicinity. As a resident with my home near the property, I believe this rezoning would greatly benefit our community. It would add value to our neighborhood and provide opportunities for positive community involvement. Ms. Maune’s vision to host well-organized, meaningful gatherings for charitable causes would foster a sense of community in western Pulaski County. These events would bring residents together for enjoyable experiences while promoting cultural and educational growth. I am confident that Ms. Maune will handle these events with utmost consideration for neighboring residents. Her history of successful events and her character assure me that she will take necessary steps to minimize noise and traffic. She understands the importance of maintaining the character of our community, and her proposal strikes a balance between engaging the community and preserving the peace and quiet we cherish. I strongly encourage you to approve the rezoning request for this property. It presents a unique opportunity to support a valued member of our community while enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhood. I believe the Planning Commission’s approval would be a positive step in promoting charity and community engagement in a responsible and thoughtful manner.
