RESOLUTION NO. 4 16,372 (JULY 16, 2024) TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 5 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH WAGNER GENERAL 6 CONTRACTORS, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE 7 HUNDRED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-SEVEN 8 AND 73/100 DOLLARS ($118,367.73),FOR ADDITIONAL RENOVATIONS 9 AND REPAIRS TO TEMPORARY FIRE STATION NO. 9; AND FOR 10 OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,the Little Rock,Ark.Board of Directors adopted Little Rock,Ark.Resolution No. 16,3 72, 13 (July 16, 2024), which authorized the City Manager to enter into a contract with Wagner General 14 Contractors, Inc., for construction of temporary Fire Station No. 9, in an amount not to exceed Nine 15 Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Twenty Dollars ($939,320.00), which included a Fifteen 16 (15)percent contingency;and, 17 WHEREAS, the Acting City Manager entered into a construction contract with Wagner General 18 Contractors,Inc.,on August 26,2024,for the renovation of temporary Fire Station No.9;and, 19 WHEREAS,a contract amendment is necessary to amend the contract date August 26,2024,to cover 20 the cost of change orders for additional renovations and repairs which exceed the fifteen (15%) percent 21 contingency budgeted for these renovations and repairs to temporary Fire Station No.9; and, 22 WHEREAS, the cost for change orders required to address electrical problems with rewiring and 23 generator installation, HVAC replacement, security system and alert communication system installation, 24 and roof and gutter replacement at temporary Fire Station No.9,is in an amount not to exceed One Hundred 25 Eighteen Thousand,Three Hundred Sixty-Seven and 73/100 Dollars($118,367.73). 26 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 27 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 28 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a construction contract amendment with Wagner 29 General Contractors, Inc., in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighteen Thousand, Three Hundred 30 Sixty-Seven and 73/100 Dollars ($118,367.73), for additional renovations and repairs to temporary Fire 31 Station No.9. 32 Section 2. Funding for this contract amendment is available through the Federal Emergency 33 Management Agency(FEMA)Temp Facility special project(270519-G51 DF231). [Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 5 resolution. 6 Section 4.Repealer.
