3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CURTIS CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY-SEVEN
6 THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY DOLLARS ($477,570.00), FOR
7 THE TAYLOR LOOP 15808 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT;
8 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design drainage channel
11 improvements near 15808 Taylor Loop Road to address stream bank erosion and damage to private
12 property; and,
13 WHEREAS, needed project improvements include construction of concrete drainage channel lining
14 and segmented stream bank stabilization to control drainage flows and prevent stream bank erosion near
15 15808 Taylor Loop Road;and,
16 WHEREAS,responses to an Invitation to Bid("ITB")Bid No.3015 for Taylor Loop 15808 Drainage
17 was received by the City of Little Rock on March 11,2025;and,
18 WHEREAS,two(2)bids were received,and it was determined that Curtis Construction,Inc.,was the
19 lowest responsible and responsive bidder;and,
20 WHEREAS,this contract shall be in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Seventy-Seven Thousand
21 Five Hundred Seventy Dollars ($477,570.00), which is the base bid amount of Three Hundred Ninety-
22 Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($397,975.00) plus a twenty percent (20%)
23 contingency.
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the Taylor Loop 15808
27 Drainage project with Curtis Construction,Inc., in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Seventy-Seven
28 Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Dollars,($477,570.00), which is the base bid amount of Three Hundred
29 Ninety-Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($397,975.00) plus a twenty percent(20%)
30 contingency.
31 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized
32 by Resolution 15,968(May 2,2023)-Account Activity B5D048D.
33 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
34 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
5 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
