CITY BEAUTIFUL
COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
The City Beautiful Commission held a planned meeting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday January 23,
2025, at Little Rock City Hall, 2nd Floor, Board of Directors’ Chambers, 500 W. Markham St.
Chairman Steven Homeyer called the meeting to order.

APPROVAL OF THE DECEMBER MEETING MINUTES:
Motion: A motion was made that the December 16, 2024, minutes be approved.
Second: The motion was seconded, and it passed unanimously.
VARIANCE REQUEST:
None requested.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Expense Report:
Staff will coordinate with Adam Wierciak and Brad Jordan for bank account information.

Public Relations:
None discussed.
KLRB:
KLRB will be having a trash pick-up day on March 8th. CBC has been invited to attened
Landscape Awards:
Chairman Homeyer finalized the award frames. Recipients have been notified. Working to
determine the dates of the awards. Staff will investigate coordinating with City media teams once
dates have been set with recipients.
Eye of the Beholder:
The Eye of the Beholder cards need to be updated.
T.R.E.E. Fund:
Next month we are expecting a request to remove trees. More information next month.
NEW BUSINESS:
• 2025 Retreat –Chairman Homeyer suggested March 6th, 2025 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Chairman
Homeyer plans for the retreat to be atop of the “Brave New Restaurant”.
• Natural Landscape Ordinance – Staff presented the idea of trying to introduce a natural
landscape ordinance to the city code. A discussion was held about the different city
departments that will need to be involved. Staff will put together a more detailed presentation
to bring before the commission at the retreat.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The next Commission meeting will be February 27, 2025.

Chairman Homeyer entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Motion: A motion was made for the meeting to adjourn.
Second: The motion was seconded, and it passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:34 pm.
