3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CROMWELL ARCHITECTS AND
5 ENGINEERS, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-FIVE
6 THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($75,600.00), FOR THE CITY
7 HALL EMERGENCY WALL REPAIR PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, It has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design a
11 replacement for a failing retaining wall in the parking lot behind City Hall; and,
12 WHEREAS, pursuant to an annual statement of qualifications process, bid number 2708; to
13 provide architectural services, two (2) letters of interest (LOI) were received for the emergency
14 repair, and Cromwell Architects and Engineers, Inc. was selected for the project.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Cromwell
18 Architects and Engineers,Inc. for architectural services in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Five
19 Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars and 00/100 ($75,600.00) for the analysis and design of a failing
20 retaining wall in the parking lot behind City Hall.
21 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available in the Facility Improvement Account Activity
22 S400633.
23 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
24 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
25 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
26 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional
27 was not originally a part of the resolution.
28 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
29 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
30 inconsistency.
