Home My WebLink About16644 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,644 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO UTILIZE 4 THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ACTIVE LIST 5 OF SUPPLIERS AND BID PRICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 6 TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($200,000.00) FOR THE 7 PURCHASE OF AGGREGATE FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS 8 DEPARTMENT SOLID WASTE DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,the Public Works Department Solid Waste Division utilizes aggregate to build roads to 12 allow ingress and egress to the landfill cells;and, 13 WHEREAS,the Arkansas Department of Transportation bids aggregate materials multiple times each 14 year due to fluctuations in prices and keeps an active list of suppliers and bid prices for aggregate materials 15 for the purpose of building roads that allow ingress and egress to landfill cells for disposal of garbage;and, 16 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock (the "City") requires authorization from the City Manager to 17 utilize the Arkansas Department of Transportation list of suppliers and bid prices for the purchase of 18 materials as needed in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars($200,000.00)for a period 19 of one(1)year,pursuant to Little Rock,Ark.,Resolution No. 16,603(February 18,2025). 20 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to utilize the suppliers and bid 23 prices from the Arkansas Department of Transportation active bids for the purchase of aggregate materials, 24 in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars($200,000.00)for a period of one year,to be 25 utilized for building roads within the Landfill to allow ingress and egress to Landfill cells. 26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Account:Solid Waste Enterprise Fund No. #603120 27 -61020. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title,section,paragraph, item,sentence,clause,phrase,or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution.
