HomeMy WebLinkAbout16641 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,641 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SWAYZE, LLC, IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FORTY 6 THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-EIGHT DOLLARS 7 ($240,588.00), FOR THE AUTUMN ROAD WIDENING 8 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS,it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design the widening 11 of Autumn Road between Financial Centre Parkway and Birchwood Drive; and, 12 WHEREAS, needed project improvements include widening a section of Autumn Road to 13 include new curb and gutter, curb inlets,and underground drainage; and, 14 WHEREAS,Invitation to Bid("ITB"), Bid No. 3006 was issued by the City of Little Rock on 15 January 28, 2025, for the Autumn Road Widening; and, 16 WHEREAS,three(3) bids were submitted, and it was determined that Swayze, LLC was the 17 lowest responsible and responsive bidder; and, 18 WHEREAS, the total cost for this contract shall not exceed Two Hundred Forty Thousand 19 Five Hundred Eighty-Eight Dollars($240,588.00), which is the base bid amount of Two Hundred 20 Thousand, Four Hundred Ninety Dollars($200,490.00)plus a twenty percent(20%)contingency. 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 22 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement to widen a portion 24 of Autumn Road with Swayze, LLC in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Forty Thousand 25 Five Hundred Eighty-Eight Dollars ($240,588.00), which is the base bid amount of Two Hundred 26 Thousand Four Hundred Ninety Dollars($200,490.00), plus a twenty percent(20%)contingency. 27 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as 28 authorized by Resolution 15,968(May 2, 2023), Account Activity B4D031 S. 29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 30 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 31 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall 32 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional 33 was not originally a part of the resolution.
