3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A ONE(1)-
4 YEAR CONTRACT, WITH TWO (2) ONE (1) -YEAR EXTENSIONS, WITH
5 PROTOTYPE, INC. TO PROVIDE TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES FOR THE LITTLE
6 ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for transcription services for the Little Rock Police Department
9 and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from Prototype, Inc., of Six Mile, South
10 Carolina, in an approximate annual amount of Twenty -six Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($26,500.00);
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
12 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a one(1)-
14 year contract, with two (2) one(1) -year extensions, with Prototype, Inc., of Six Mile, South Carolina, to
15 provide transcription services for the Little Rock Police Department in an approximate annual amount
16 of Twenty -Six Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($26,500.00).
17 Section 2. The Board of Directors further authorizes the extension of this contract up to two
18 (2) one(1) -year extensions.
19 Section 2. Funding for this contract is to be from the Police Department budget.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
21 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
22 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain

in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
