Home My WebLink About16634 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,634 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO IN- 4 CREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE EXISTING CONTRACT WITH 5 ALESSI KEYES CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR AN AMOUNT NOT 6 TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($300,000.00) 7 TO PROVIDE AGENCY CONSTRUCTION MANAGER SERVICES FOR 8 THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO'S 2022A BOND PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 - 11 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock(the"City")issued Competitive Selection Event No.2224 on July 12 26,2023,for the selection of an Agency Construction Manager, and, 13 WHEREAS, after a competitive selection process, it was determined that of the five (5) responsive 14 bids received,that Alessi Keyes Construction provided the lowest responsible and responsive bid;and, 15 WHEREAS,the City's Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 16,191 (December 12, 2023), au- 16 thorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Alessi Keyes Construction Company for the pur- 17 poses of Agency Construction Manager services for the Little Rock Zoo's("Zoo")2022A Bond Project in 18 an amount not to exceed Four hundred Forty-Five Thousand Seven Hundred Six and 83/100 Dollars 19 ($445,706.83),plus applicable taxes and fees;and, 20 WHEREAS, the scope of work has risen substantially, thereby increasing the management duties of 21 Alessi Keyes Construction Company, and thus increasing its fee by Three Hundred Thousand Dollars 22 ($300,000.00);and, 23 WHEREAS,it is in the best interests of the City and it is necessary for the Zoo to complete the project. 24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement to increase the amount of the 27 agreement with Alessi Keyes Construction for Construction Management Services for the Little Rock Zoo's 28 2022A Bond Project in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars($300,000.00). 29 Section 2. Funds are available for this expenditure in the Zoo Upgrades Special Project Fund Account 30 No. 332659/72502/B65D016. 31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 33 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect [Page 1 of 2] • 1 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso- 2 lution. 3 Section 4. Repealer.
