HomeMy WebLinkAbout16628 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,628 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCOTT EQUIPMENT, INC., IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND, 6 EIGHT HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($133,875.00), PLUS 7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 8 CASE 580SV BACKHOE FOR PUBLIC WORKS'S STREET OPERATIONS 9 DIVISION;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,the Street Operations Division of the City's Public Work's Department has a need for one 12 (1)Case 580SV Backhoe to replace a 2002 backhoe which has significant maintenance needs resulting in 13 downtime; and, 14 WHEREAS, vendor selection of Scott Equipment, Inc., was made utilizing Sourcewell Contract No. 15 011723-CNH-I, pursuant to Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18,2025);and, 16 WHEREAS, the total cost of the purchase of one(1)Case 580SV Backhoe shall be in an amount not 17 to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($133,875.00), plus 18 applicable taxes and fees. 19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Scott Equipment, Inc., for the 22 purchase of one(1)Case 580SV Backhoe in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand, 23 Eight Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars($133,875.00),plus applicable taxes and fees. 24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from Public Works Street Department Replacement 25 Fund Account No. 20549-72200-S40B676. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4.Repealer.
