3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO.
4 16,245 (MARCH 5, 2024), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
5 INCREASE THE CONTRACT AMOUNT WITH REDSTONE
6 CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
7 SIX MILLION, SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND
8 DOLLARS ($6,725,000.00), FOR STREET RESURFACING WITHIN THE
9 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, Street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas
12 ("City"),to maintain existing asphalt streets;and,
13 WHEREAS, the residents of the City approved a 2022 Bond Issue that provided funding for these
14 resurfacing improvements;and,
15 WHEREAS, Bid No. 2361 was issued for the 2024 Street Resurfacing Program, and of the two (2)
16 bids received, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid.
17 meeting specifications;and,
18 WHEREAS, funding is available to increase the authorized contract with Redstone Construction
19 Group, Inc. from an amount not to exceed Six Million, Twenty-Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Forty-
20 Five Dollars ($6,025,745.00) to an amount not to exceed Six Million, Seven Hundred Twenty-Five
21 Thousand and 00/100 Dollars($6,725,000.00),for the 2024 Street Resurfacing Program.
22 NOW,'THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to increase the contract with Redstone
25 Construction Group, Inc. for street resurfacing improvements to an amount not to exceed Six Million,
26 Seven Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($6,725,000.00), for the 2024 Street Resurfacing
27 Program.
28 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from the 2022 Limited Tax Obligation Capital
29 Information Bonds.
30 SECTION 3. Severabiliry. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
31 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent
4 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
